Field of pumkins fall baby shower invitations

I can't believe summer's almost over.  I recently started back to school shopping for my 1st grader.  She can't wait to return to school, while I'm still working on checking off things on our summer bucket list.  There's no denying it, fall is just around the corner.

Our very popular "Field of pumpkins fall baby shower invitations" are now available.

Cruise Invitation

My cousin's celebrating a milestone birthday and asked me to design the invitations for her cruise celebration. I really enjoyed putting them together for her. She requested a touch of pink, as the theme is, "Pretty in Pink." I decided to add a pink nautical anchor to coordinate with the flourishing floral design which adds a touch of Mediterranean feel. The invitation and insert card, which included the guests names and room numbers, were inserted in a pocket folder. I thought they turned out lovely.

Pinwheel 1st Birthday Party- Part 1

I can breath again! I spent the last two months planning my beautiful daughter's 1st Birthday party. It turned out amazing! I knew months ago, more like since she was six months, that I wanted to do a pinwheel theme party. After designing the invitations, I headed to blog land and Pinterest for inspiration. Boy did I find inspiration. What made the invites a little more special were the wraparound labels I designed.

Our guests were greeted with block letters,"One" that I bought at the craft store and painted. I also made the pinwheel wreath on the door. I used scrapbook paper, a wooden wreath, crystal colored push pins and hot glue. Thankfully I started early and made a lot of the pinwheels I used for the party over the course of one month while watching my TV shows.

I got the idea to hang the balloons from Sherry over at "Young House Love." It really looked great! I hung one in the family room and one in the living room.

I fell in love when I saw this banner idea. I can't remember where I saw it, but I just knew I had to make it. I used my printer to print everything, stickers from the scrapbook section at the craft store, I made felt pinwheels and party supplies from the dollar store. It was fun to make and the best part was my 5 year old daughter helped me.

One of the best parts about planning the party was making this little clothespin doll cake topper. I enjoyed it so much because my 5 year old and I made numerous dolls. She now has a collection to play with. My plan is to reuse the doll for her cake for as many of her Birthday cakes that I can. I think it will be a cute tradition. My Mom, the best Mom ever, made the cake/cupcake stand. Isn't it cute!! I had a tough time finding boxes around the house, so I pulled out game board boxes and it worked out great. My Mom used gift wrapping paper to cover the boxes and embellishments from the scrapbook sticker section at the craft store. Yours truly made the pinwheels. The delicious cake and cupcakes were made by Berry's Pastry Shop.

More to come soon!

Elaine Biss

I'd like to announce some very exciting news about my very good friend Elain Biss!

Luxury Beauty Dior has selected Elaine Biss as the exclusive designer for Dior Diva V.I.P. Auction benefiting the Look Good Feel Good foundation. They help women offset the look altering changes of cancer treatments.

Elaine is very excited and honored to be chosen. Dior specifically asked for a design in the style of her logo at elainebiss.com. The logo specifically depicts a young girl sweetly surrounded by the things she loves. The design must embody a celebration of Diva Style a la Dior.

The auction will be held Sept 15th through the 25th and to participate register at adoredior.com

I'm so proud and very excited for Elaine! She has not only proven to be a great designer but she's always willing to lend advice and insight. I'm blessed to call her my friend.
